Please enjoy a preview of my current in-progress works and upcoming art shows
The forces of movement, flow, and structures found in nature inspire me. The sculptures I create embody my individual sense of these inspirations. I work with many mediums, materials, tools and processes to achieve my vision for the art pieces. I welcome you to follow my journey.

In this photo several work-in-progress forms in the early stage part of the process can be seen. Even in their raw state with typical warehouse lighting and no staging of the art pieces, it's easy to see that lighting from any angle wraps the forms beautifully. That's because the forms have a foreground, midground and background element always present regardless of the line of view. The sense of movement in the art invites viewers to move and wander around the sculpture, provoking a sense of curiosity and discovery at every turn.
Weaving in and out of the piece with both deliberate shaping and getting lost in the form is one of my favorite parts of the process. I enjoy this immersion because i'm guided mostly by feeling and less thinking.
I use ladders and lifts to move all around large art pieces like this one. There isn't a single detail that gets passed over. If this art was hanging on a ceiling or on a wall, this would be the straight on view that you'd see
Homemade art tools is a common occurance in the studio. This is a Nail Brush, a much stiffer wire brush, used for carving into various substrates. There are a variety of nail patterns and types of brushes that I use to preliminary shape sculptures.
This sculpture was carved up almost entirely with a nail brush. For finer details I use sand paper and hot knives.
