The forces of movement, flow and the intricate structures found in nature serve as a constant source of inspiration for David Kujda. His sculptures reflect a unique interpretation of these natural influences, brought to life through a diverse range of mediums, materials, tools and processes. He invites others to follow his journey and explore the evolution of his work.
In this photo, several work-in-progress forms are captured in an early stage of the creative process. Even in their raw state, under standard warehouse lighting with no intentional staging, the way light interacts with the forms is evident. Light wraps around them effortlessly from any angle due to the presence of foreground, midground and background elements, which remain visible regardless of the viewer's perspective. The dynamic sense of movement within each piece encourages viewers to engage with the sculpture from different angles, sparking curiosity and a sense of discovery at every turn.
Those interested in upcoming art shows and exhibitions are encouraged to request an invitation using the form below.
"Weaving in and out of the piece with both deliberate shaping and getting lost in the form is one of my favorite parts of the process. I enjoy this immersion because i'm guided mostly by feeling and less thinking" - David Kujda
"I use ladders and lifts to move all around large art pieces like this one. There isn't a single detail that gets passed over. If this art was hanging on a ceiling or on a wall, this would be the straight on view that you'd see" - David Kujda
